Industry’s Most Comprehensive OEM Build Database Continues to Expand Ensuring Faster, More Efficient Claims Settlements
TORONTO, Ont. – October 15, 2013 — Audatex Canada ULC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Solera Holdings, Inc., the leading global claims solutions provider serving the automotive industry, today announced an agreement to bring Chrysler vehicle manufacturing build data to vehicles sold in Canada through Audatex AudaVIN™ vehicle identification technology.
Adding Chrysler build data to AudaVIN technology further supports the accurate vehicle identification technology that Audatex brings to the Canadian marketplace to help insurers and repairers provide industry-leading partial and total loss solutions for the benefit of vehicle owners.
“By globally aligning ourselves with an automotive powerhouse the size and caliber of Chrysler, and integrating their manufacturing build data into our product portfolio, we have solidified our innovation leadership position in vehicle collision estimating and total loss technologies,” said Tony Aquila, Chairman and CEO of Solera Holdings, the parent company of Audatex Canada. “More importantly, we’re delivering valuable intelligence to help our insurer and collision repair clients better serve their Chrysler vehicle owner customers in every country where Chryslers are sold and repaired.”
“Chrysler North America represents the third-largest OEM in terms of Canadian automotive repair claims. The agreement to add Chrysler demonstrates AudaVIN’s growing momentum in the Canadian market as a high-value solution for increasing estimating and total loss accuracy, said Anthony Giagnacovo, Managing Director of Audatex Canada. “AudaVIN data is unique in that it includes the same data manufacturers have right down to the trim level on every vehicle that comes off their assembly line. With this kind of accuracy, we’re helping expedite claims settlements and drive higher levels of customer satisfaction.”
With support for more than 40 vehicle brands covering 60 countries globally, AudaVIN works by utilizing vehicle identification number (VIN) data to properly and accurately define all the standard and optional equipment on a specific vehicle, as it was built by the manufacturer – everything from vehicle make, model, edition, engine, transmission, standard and optional equipment to exterior paint code, interior trim code, production date, and wheels and tires. Integrating this data into collision estimating and total loss tools benefits consumers and gives insurance claim representatives, appraisers and collision repair estimators precise and complete vehicle-specific build information to properly value and accurately repair vehicles.
By identifying the more complex regular production options (RPOs) and packages on the vehicle, AudaVIN goes beyond existing VIN decode technologies to provide complete and accurate vehicle-specific information in seconds. The result is significant reduction in inspection time, more accurate parts identification, more precise damage estimates and total loss valuations, and improvements in first call settlement rates. AudaVIN also addresses consumers’ top concerns regarding errors made during the claims settlement process by uncovering options and packages that, if overlooked, can reduce a vehicle’s perceived actual cash value (ACV) by hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
